Odisha Startup Growth Fund (OSGF) – Fund of Funds - has been established by Startup Odisha, an initiative of the MSME Department of the Government of Odisha with an initial corpus of INR 100 Crore for the promotion of startups in Odisha.
Startup Odisha acts as the nodal agency for building the start-up and innovative ecosystem in the State, under the aegis of Odisha Startup Policy – 2016. The fund is in the form of a Fund of Funds. In this model, the fund shall not be invested directly into startup companies, rather it shall make investment in “Daughter Funds,” which would invest in startups promoting innovative ideas and technologies across all sectors in Odisha. The Fund is being operated and managed by SIDBI.
The OSGF FOF shall invest through daughter AIFs, in start-ups qualifying the following requirements:
1. The AIFs supported under Odisha Startup Growth Fund, shall invest in Startups, qualifying the requirements mentioned in Odisha Startup Policy-2016 or any revision thereof.
2. Any other condition as decided by Startup Odisha (Govt. of Odisha) in consultation with SIDBI.
An AIF supported under the OSGF FoF, shall invest at least 1.5 times of contribution out of OSGF FoF in Odisha based startups as defined hereinabove.
